WEEK 0: MINGLE

remaining students: forty-two.
Hey, wake up! Before you're late for school!
The first thing you'll receive when you wake up is a notification: Updated Dorm Wars Standings.
☀️ SUMMER: 0
🍁 FALL: 0
❄️ WINTER: 0
Fall has truly swept over the campus, and the colorful leaves will crunch underneath your feet as you walk through the school. In fact, your adventures might bring you to some new locations where construction has concluded. Take a look around!
On every building bulletin board, as well as on your phone, there's a new posting for this week's Dorm Wars tasks. Check out which answer resonates with you the most, and then get those points for your team! Speaking of your team, it seems like Office Hours are open for all Dorm Heads if you'd like to chat with them. Maybe see if there's anything you'd like to redeem a voucher for?
Once again, a now familiar ringtone plays from every student's phone. The screen will automatically open to the Student Directory. Everyone's ID Cards with their wonderfully flattering and fitting pictures are now out there for the world to see. How do you feel about yours?
A few classes in particular have been highlighted with open enrollment and can be joined for the week:
- PHYS 760: Theoretical Physics
ENG 400: Does Shakespeare Is Gay?
FILM 198: Analysis of the Greats: Cats
ART 100: Coloring Inside the Lines
Finally, there also appears to be a hay ride attraction for everyone to enjoy. Yes, you can ride the tractor. No, you can't cause property damage. In fact, it seems like as you enjoy your hay ride or tractor joy ride, you may hear the occasional growl of a bear.... And just in case you need a nice cozy place to have all these deep, important conversations, a bonfire is located at the central campus lawn with blankets and wooden logs available for everyone to sit on - plus supplies for s'mores! Yay!

[she flips the page. and nods, reddening a little.]
It's hard not to see it.
no subject
Yes, I thought it was undeniable as well. Tragically overshadowed, though perhaps that was the intention?
no subject
of course on the page?
hello?
lux is just talking as if she hadn't just said "OH ON THE PAGE YOU MEAN"?
...
there's a slight delay after lux finishes speaking before byleth nods, still staring.]

I have to say, I'm not used to reading a story with intention of brushing aside the primary plot being told. But I've never really read fiction for lessons, before.
no subject
...]
Me, neither. It's a first for both.
[she didn't even know who shakespeare was before this?]

If two people saw us talking in a fictional story, they might say... "gay".
[she's learned so much.]
no subject
I... Suppose they might? Though they'd have little basis for such a theory...
no subject
yeah.]

Luxanna, your hair is beautiful today.
no subject
My hair is nothing special - not nearly as striking in color as yours, for the way it brings out your eyes.
no subject
Your blue eyes sparkle with every beam of light that touches you.
no subject
Yet the source of that radiant light is you.

Was what we shared not real?
Gay, question mark?
no subject
[ lux doesn't quite manage to keep a straight face, giggly a little bit. ]
Betrayal. Period!
no subject
Betrayal, exclamation mark.
I'll never gay again, fictionally or otherwise.

Now I've been inoculated to the pain.
no subject
Very impressive. I underestimated you.
