WEEK 0: MINGLE

remaining students: forty-two.
Hey, wake up! Before you're late for school!
The first thing you'll receive when you wake up is a notification: Updated Dorm Wars Standings.
☀️ SUMMER: 0
🍁 FALL: 0
❄️ WINTER: 0
Fall has truly swept over the campus, and the colorful leaves will crunch underneath your feet as you walk through the school. In fact, your adventures might bring you to some new locations where construction has concluded. Take a look around!
On every building bulletin board, as well as on your phone, there's a new posting for this week's Dorm Wars tasks. Check out which answer resonates with you the most, and then get those points for your team! Speaking of your team, it seems like Office Hours are open for all Dorm Heads if you'd like to chat with them. Maybe see if there's anything you'd like to redeem a voucher for?
Once again, a now familiar ringtone plays from every student's phone. The screen will automatically open to the Student Directory. Everyone's ID Cards with their wonderfully flattering and fitting pictures are now out there for the world to see. How do you feel about yours?
A few classes in particular have been highlighted with open enrollment and can be joined for the week:
- PHYS 760: Theoretical Physics
ENG 400: Does Shakespeare Is Gay?
FILM 198: Analysis of the Greats: Cats
ART 100: Coloring Inside the Lines
Finally, there also appears to be a hay ride attraction for everyone to enjoy. Yes, you can ride the tractor. No, you can't cause property damage. In fact, it seems like as you enjoy your hay ride or tractor joy ride, you may hear the occasional growl of a bear.... And just in case you need a nice cozy place to have all these deep, important conversations, a bonfire is located at the central campus lawn with blankets and wooden logs available for everyone to sit on - plus supplies for s'mores! Yay!

See any cute boys?

[aaaaaaa]
I mean, objectively everyone here is very handsome. I mean, not everyone, but you know what I mean. Or, who I mean. Uh. Boys. [kill him] But I'm engaged, so I'm not really thinking about it.

Tell me about your fiance.

[happily! he looks so happy. gross.]
Amir's... amazing. Like, easily the best thing that's ever happened to me was meeting him, without a doubt. He can seem really surly when you first get to know him, but - I think he's gotten used to having to seem tough all the time, when he really cares so much about people, you know? He's really kind once you get past that exterior, and he's brave, and he doesn't give up on anyone or anything.
[he's just going to keep going if she doesn't say something tbh]

Tough exterior, soft interior...
[continue, adorable teen-in-love.]
no subject
Yeah, yeah, like that! He's my best friend in the world. There's nobody else I could imagine ever wanting to spend the rest of my life with but him.

[a nervous little laugh. but anyways!]
What about you? Do you have anyone like that?
no subject
I'm not engaged.

[with a little bit of a teasing tone]
no subject
No.
no subject
[tapping his chin!]
Well, in that case, since I went on and on - tell me about your friends instead?
no subject
I mostly interact with my students and fellow faculty. [so to speak]
I see them all as my friends.

[some people have more than her, some less.]
Do you have training in either?
no subject
Not as much as I probably should have. Where'd you learn in the first place?

[after a moment of surprise:]
Like - somebody who fights for money?

[another pause, lengthier, as he tries to decide how he feels about that.]
But only people who need to be fought, right?

But he was a good man.
