Wow. Weekends sure are wild.

Whatever time everyone wakes up this Sunday morning, they'll see a message on their phones, much like the previous day. This one states:

The expulsion of Kaoruko Hanayagi will take place at the Athletics Field at 1PM.

When the time comes, there will be no mysterious compulsion to head over there. It seems like this event isn't a mandatory one to attend. Everyone who does make their way to the stadium will see that the field has changed into something, uh, a little different, with some music playing in the background. No one is allowed to walk onto the field itself, except for Kaoruko who is already standing in the center, and everyone will have to immediately get onto the stands to take a seat.

Once it hits 1PM, a voice will ring out from some kind of speaker system.

"A challenger approaches! Will Otome Yanagiya please come to the field?"

Otome will immediately start walking, regardless if she wants to or not. A path will allow her to get there safely. No one else will be able to follow her; while there isn't a physical barrier stopping them, they'll find that they simply cannot move their feet to step onto the same path.

[ hope really should have listened to his gut and stayed put in his dorm, but sometimes curiosity gets the better of you, and, well. rather than shut down, though, he just starts...yelling—not at any of the other students, but more at the open air, all his anger directed upward and away from the others. ]

What, is this just a game to you?! Why are you having us watch this like we're spectators? What the hell do you want from us?

[she glances at him, biting her lip. very gently nudges him? hi.]

[ he tenses when she touches him, but manages to lower his voice, at least, when he responds. ]

This isn't– this isn't right. None of this is, obviously, but...

I know. It's not, it's fucked up. We don't have to stay.

[molly is also offering, vodka aunt and uncle can take him for a walk ig]

[ his family tree is so fucking weird now (but his mom is still dead.)

i'm gonna assume molly is talking to him at the same time so like. he just stands in place, now staring very intensely at the ground with both fists balled at his sides. ]

[molly suggests leaving, and she just nods, resting a hand on hope's shoulder tentatively. she's prepared to go with the rest of them, even though she doesn't want to tear her eyes away.]

[Oh boy. Just sort of leaning down near him? Tiny child.]

Fuck them, right? Fuck this. You want to go for a walk?

[ a little more tersely than he anticipates: ] What is a walk going to do? It's not going to stop this from happening!

[ it'd just be more running away. ]

[Just continuing, gently:]

Sure, but it isn't going to help it either. Come on.

glancing over at molly with a worried look like what the fuck do we do with this]

[Looking back over at her like I have no fucking clue!!! Start physically picking some children at some point I guess.]

[ he at least simmers down enough to stop trying to scream at an unseen force like it'll stop kaoruko and otome. he's still pretty firmly rooted in place, though, as he instead drops his gaze to the ground. ]

...where are we even going to go.

[Glancing around, though there's like. A lot of shouting and convincing teens to look away from the carnage.]

Think Mabel and Lila could use some company. I'm coming too. Got no interest in watching this shit.

[ ...without looking up, he just makes a small noise of affirmation. ]

[Just gripping his shoulder for a second, gently starting to push him away from the field.]

You coming, Beau?

[ with another nod and a quick touch to the bandana on his wrist, he is ready to be led to the pizza party! ]

[she takes one last long look at the field, worrying her bottom lip, and then:]

... Yeah. Yeah, I'm coming. [and she'll follow them off wherever!]

[ beau and molly have him and yamato's further away anyway, but he still looks back at hope with a frown, worried ]

[ they have calmed him down enough to stop yelling but he still angy. he will check in later bro :( ]

[ he's right so even if it wasn't being covered, she wouldn't try to calm him down. this is... an appropriate time to be angry. ]
