Fall has truly swept over the campus, and the colorful leaves will crunch underneath your feet as you walk through the school. All the banners that had their motto shifted over the weekend seem to have reverted back as well. In fact, your adventures might bring you to some new locations where construction has concluded. Take a look around!

On every building bulletin board, as well as on your phone, there's a new posting for this week's Dorm Wars tasks. Check out which answer resonates with you the most, and then get those points for your team! Speaking of your team, it seems like Office Hours are open for all Dorm Heads if you'd like to chat with them. Maybe see if there's anything you'd like to redeem a voucher for?

Though if you're looking through your phone, it appears that the profiles for Hiyori Tomoe and Kaoruko Hanayagi have both disappeared. Expulsion is a hell of a drug.

Finally, it's Spirit Week! I wonder what that means. There's also a few posters advertising a Debate Tournament coming up, little stickers of donuts and dogs being used to give them a little personal charm. It seems like the seasons are really flying by too, as spooky times suddenly creep up on everyone. Halloween decorations like large pumpkins and pop-up ghost and ghouls litter the campus excited to give you a fright. Though maybe you should be afraid of yourself most of all? Somewhere on your body, your greatest fear will be written on you. It cannot come off, and it glows in the dark. Enjoy the free tat.

How can you tell where someone else's center is? That seems particularly impressive, to me!

[ she laughs ]

Well - it's very impressive! I can see why you were chosen to teach. It isn't just a matter of skill, but of being able to impart knowledge.

[she looks clearly flattered, but shakes her head... nonono.]

I think it was just a coincidence...

I can't imagine so. That would have to be some very impressive luck.

well, she probably can't convince lux, so she tries another.]

[she looks momentarily wistful.]

Do you want to try thrusting at me?

[she's picking up a stick.]

Do you promise not to stab me?

[ that's a joke... it's a stick... ]

[she pretends to think about it. hmmmmmmm.......]

I suppose so.

[she's being funny!!

she squares off against lux, her own stick parallel in front of her]

You can attack me however you like.

[illuminance]

[ lux laughs easily. ] Oh, you suppose so.

[ hmm okay. she looks like - she can't seem to decide exactly what her stance is. it's like she does okay when she's watching nier or byleth, but when she's left to drawing from memory her form is... off.

like she's trying to swing a much bigger sword than is reasonable. her thrust is more of a short swing. ]

[hoboy.

byleth just sidesteps it—and taps lux with her stick as she overshoots.]

That was more of a swing than a thrust.

What are you imagining your stick to be?

[illuminance]

[ lux frowns... ]

A sword...?

[ a very big one, apparently. ]

How long, how wide?

[she knocks her stick against lux's]

Your weapon is an extension of yourself.

Make sure you're fully aware of its real physical size.

[illuminance]

... I'm used to watching my brother fight.

[ as if that explains anything. ]

[divineimpulse]

...And his sword is big.

[she can extrapolate that much.

so, she nods, and beckons lux again.]

Face me again, as if you're about to attack me.

[illuminance]

[ she nods... ]

The other style I've seen quite a bit of is fencing, but I have no experience in trying to copy that...

[ okay. here goes again. this time she's not trying to imitate her brother - just using the branch as itself. trying to imitate byleth from earlier demonstrations. it's a better thrust, but the movement still lacks fluidity. ]

[divineimpulse]

[it's better, and she engages, knocking the stick aside instead of sidestepping it entirely—but she holds up one finger.]

Watch your center.

[and pushes lux over.]

[illuminance]

[ lux has to step back to steady herself, but doesn't fall. progress? ]

So complicated.

[ but she's kind of having fun. ]

[byleth nods in approval.]

Just like that.

If you hold that, even a serious attack will have trouble unbalancing you.
