Good thing yesterday was just a dream, huh?

Just kidding. Everyone will wake up to a text on their phone that has only a simple message:

Go to the gymnasium at 12 PM. Attendance is mandatory.

Everyone is free to go to the designated spot on their own, but once it hits 11:55, any stragglers will feel compelled to go and will join the others at the gym. As soon as every student is inside, the doors will lock behind them.

All of the bleachers are out, so students are free to sit wherever they like. At the very front of the gym is a gathering of a few items, one being a large desk where two of the Dorm Heads are present. When the clock hits noon, the scoreboard turns on, starting a countdown of nine hours.

From where she's seated, Sally speaks.

"You have nine hours again. It's... you'll be able to do it. Work hard."

Better get to it. That scoreboard is ticking.

Hello everyone and welcome to our fourth trial! the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6 PM EST, where no mod tags will occur.

Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9 PM EST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

QUESTIONS

[ Sally is sitting on the desk, her legs dangling over the front edge of it. Her hands are folded together on her lap, clenched tightly. Every now and then you might hear a sniff from her direction.

Viola is seated at the desk, tense. Her expression is carefully closed off as she watches trial with a focused and intense gaze. On occasion, she'll glance toward to the autopsy tables before shutting her eyes again and taking a deep breath. Even makeup can't hide this week's darkened circles under her eyes.

At some point in trial, a cart serving tea, hot chocolate, and water will appear. There will also be soup, but no spoons. Just kidding there's obviously both. Stay warm! ]

[ Two steel autopsy tables are close by to the desk. Sheets cover them, and presumably the bodies of Crow and Mollymauk are under them. ]

[ It seems like once someone leaves the gym for investigation, they're able to message again. Whoever they choose to contact will be able to reply to them back.

To be timely, please only choose one character who is still in trial to text updates to. ]

[Once trial starts, he will walk right over to the autopsy table Mollymauk is under and lift the sheet, jaw set hard.

What does he see right away?]

[ as they're filtering in, kon will pass around by the desk. he doesn't say anything, but he does pause and put his hand on viola's shoulder, squeezing, before he goes to get started with the other winters. ]

[Here's Mandricardo, setting down a plate of what looks to be muffins and danishes from the cafeteria for both of them to take.]

Hey...if you haven't had breakfast...

[ leo is here to offer viola some churros. sally can have some too if she's nice. ]

Try to take it easy today, okay? We'll try our best to figure it out.

[Well. He doesn't look like he slept much the night before, and he's still wearing the same clothes he was on Friday, but when he comes in he'll stop to see the two of them.]

[To both of them: ] Good morning. [And to Viola, taking in her dark circles, he'll add.] Crow?

[beau is here! she is a mess. her hair is down and tangled a bit in her face, and she's curled up in a jacket and a scarf, but. she comes over to the two of them and opens her mouth - and then just closes it.

she doesn't know what to say, really, she's just - like, she feels like she should be here for a second.]

Crow

[for once, Catra does not waste time being useless once they enter the gymnasium. she beelines for Crow's body as soon as she's able, ears flat and tail lashing irately behind her]

[for a moment she just stares at the sheet, before she reaches out with a hardened expression to yank it off of the corpse. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH CROW TODAY!!]

[he will feel that she's very, very tense! she doesn't flinch away from the touch, giving one nod in acknowledgement before just settling in to watch]

[steelo]

[ hello... ichiro goes over to the cart, fetches two water bottles, and hands one to each of the girls. he touches viola's hand for a second as he pulls away, and then nods in her direction, mouth set in a grim line, but determined. ]

...we've got this.

[ . . . it takes a second but she puts on a smile, fake as hell.]

Thank you. I'll nibble at it as I get hungry.

[Pretend I had time to use the meme generator to put Molly's head and Molly's body on the TWO OF THEM cat meme.

Which is to say the first thing he notices is there is a body........and then there is a head nearby. Sorry, Caleb.

[Yeah, he knew to expect this. It's okay. Head first. He will take a look at the condition of the head - any injuries or damage other than the cut neck? He will also take a look at the cut of the neck, to try to see if he can get a sense how it was done. Is it neat? Messy?]

If you need a break to like...cry, or whatever, you should take it. Don't put on a brave face for us. Mourning the dead is...something we're all doin' here.

[churros... she'll smile a little - it's at least partially genuine but mostly forced]

[Oh they're both moods, damn. Likewise, Sakyou hesitates for a moment as he passes by the table, not really knowing what to say. Eventually, he just gives both a quiet nod.]

[Crow doesn't look as awful as SOMEONE else.

But the first thing she notices is he's in his usual outfit, and his neck doesn't seem in great shape.]
