Good thing yesterday was just a dream, huh?

Just kidding. Everyone will wake up to a text on their phone that has only a simple message:

Go to the gymnasium at 12 PM. Attendance is mandatory.

Everyone is free to go to the designated spot on their own, but once it hits 11:55, any stragglers will feel compelled to go and will join the others at the gym. As soon as every student is inside, the doors will lock behind them.

All of the bleachers are out, so students are free to sit wherever they like. At the very front of the gym is a gathering of a few items, one being a large desk where two of the Dorm Heads are present. When the clock hits noon, the scoreboard turns on, starting a countdown of nine hours.

From where she's seated, Sally speaks.

"You have nine hours again. It's... you'll be able to do it. Work hard."

Better get to it. That scoreboard is ticking.

Hello everyone and welcome to our fourth trial! the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6 PM EST, where no mod tags will occur.

Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9 PM EST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

[ Alphinaud makes a beeline right for the catwalk again. From the ground level, he'll nudge at the side with a hand. Is it still creaky? ]

[ kon reaches and touches viola on the arm before going in, not going to go up high - he'll go through the seats, first, making his way towards the stage. ]

[viola allows the touch but she will largely stay off to the side, arms crossed tightly as she watches and supervises.

the seats are the seats! the stage is also the stage.

for alphinaud, the auditorium has high ceilings! the catwalk is very, very high up there! so it is not possible to be reached on ground level.... is he taking the stairs?]

[ Alright now that I have been informed I have been thinking of the wrong kind of catwalk this whole time (I will never forgive you, theatre), yes. He will be going up the stairs. Carefully, because it's a bit unstable.

Is there anything to find while going up? ]

okay, well, since there's nothing in the seats, he'll head up to the stage itself. he's going to watch where he walks, but he's heading towards the curtains to check them - are they open or closed? crow was... he was hanged, basically, right? are there ropes on the curtains? are there ropes on the curtains that are missing? ]

[Tsuyukusa is lazer focused so he's going to immediately try to go find where the body was, since like. Presumably there was blood? He's looking for blood.]

[ Mabel is also! Looking for blood! How much is there--is it splattered, and if so, does it look like the splatters lead anywhere? ]

[ They'll find blood, yes. There's stains of it in the dirt that eventually lead to a large blood pool. The stains look like a small amount of splatter.

There's also another trail of blood heading elsewhere. ]

[Tsuyukusa's focusing on the blood pool area. I assume it's not literally a gathered pool of liquid, but just A Lot On The dirt. Does any of it look recently disturbed? Like something was buried? Or signs of a scuffle. Either where there's blood or nearby.

And is it JUST blood? He's looking at it carefully. Is there brain bits. I have to ask.]

[ Mabel, meanwhile, will trepidatiously follow the trail of blood. What does it look like--as though it was dragged, or is it just droplets and splatters heading somewhere? What will she find at the end of it? ]

[As they approach from the SUB from the gym, they might notice some scuffs on the ground!]

[ oh hell yeah. what size? big, small, little? ichiro will snap a picture of them! ]

Yeah, I see it.

[ ichiro's got the pics taken care of, so leo crouches down to get closer, looking for any signs of what could have caused it. a fight? maybe something was dragged? ]

They said the door was broken off the hinges too, so something definitely went down here.

[Well you see, they are.... footprints, baby!!!

If they look further toward the SUB, they'll see the door hanging off its hinges. So there are three different sets of footprints on the ground, three different sizes.]

Three? Oh, shit. [ oh i fucking hate this.

ichiro will put his foot next to each one as carefully as possible to compare size. how do they look? are any of them MASSIVE like caiman sized.

ray just said leo had a tape measure also so!!! ]

Here - come on, let's send these out. I'll snap a pic and send them to Hope so they can get working on it.

[ he's absolutely pulling that tape measure out the second he sees footprints. i will never forgive you all for making me deal with feet but here we are.

after giving ichiro the measurements to text back to trial, he looks for anything like blood or a trail. are any them headed in a clear direction? ]

[alright we're dragging caiman out here to have him make some new footprints by the stables ones for comparison!]

Don't step on the existing prints, and just move normally.

Uh, okay...

[ Straightening up! DON'T BE SUSPICIOUS JUST ACT NORMAL . GIF. But because he was told to act normally he does seem super awkward about it but just walks in a straight line to the best of his ability next to everything else. ]

Just- relax, Caiman. I know that's difficult right now, but this should help.

[okay, cool! then we're gonna have a couple questions which are: do caiman's prints roughly match the placement/stride of these existing feets, and do they look the same in depth & firmness/etc? caiman is very heavy and tall compared to literally everyone else so if someone else wore his shoes she presumes one or both of these things will not match up. help me obi-mods kenobis.]
