Good thing yesterday was just a dream, huh?

Just kidding. Everyone will wake up to a text on their phone that has only a simple message:

Go to the gymnasium at 12 PM. Attendance is mandatory.

Everyone is free to go to the designated spot on their own, but once it hits 11:55, any stragglers will feel compelled to go and will join the others at the gym. As soon as every student is inside, the doors will lock behind them.

All of the bleachers are out, so students are free to sit wherever they like. At the very front of the gym is a gathering of a few items, one being a large desk where two of the Dorm Heads are present. When the clock hits noon, the scoreboard turns on, starting a countdown of nine hours.

From where she's seated, Sally speaks.

"You have nine hours again. It's... you'll be able to do it. Work hard."

Better get to it. That scoreboard is ticking.

Hello everyone and welcome to our fourth trial! the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6 PM EST, where no mod tags will occur.

Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9 PM EST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

[ Sally is sitting on the desk, her legs dangling over the front edge of it. Her hands are folded together on her lap, clenched tightly. Every now and then you might hear a sniff from her direction.

Viola is seated at the desk, tense. Her expression is carefully closed off as she watches trial with a focused and intense gaze. On occasion, she'll glance toward to the autopsy tables before shutting her eyes again and taking a deep breath. Even makeup can't hide this week's darkened circles under her eyes.

At some point in trial, a cart serving tea, hot chocolate, and water will appear. There will also be soup, but no spoons. Just kidding there's obviously both. Stay warm! ]

[ Two steel autopsy tables are close by to the desk. Sheets cover them, and presumably the bodies of Crow and Mollymauk are under them. ]

[ It seems like once someone leaves the gym for investigation, they're able to message again. Whoever they choose to contact will be able to reply to them back.

[ hello good morning. here's ichiro! he looks more healed than he did on thursday night, with yellowing bruises on his face and still sort of leaning his weight to one side, but he's got his arms folded across his chest and sounds serious, deep voice loud as he gets the attention of the room. ]

Alright. We've got two victims this week. Mollymauk, who was found in the orchard, and then Crow, who was found in the auditorium. The two people we found in weird places were Malik, in the spring dorm, with Molly's coat, and then Caiman, in the kitchen, in the freezer. We need to make a list of all the places people explored, yesterday, and what you found, so we can go back and double check them in teams as thoroughly as possible. We also gotta do the usual. Check for injuries, check for powers, since whatever people had last week would still be in play on Thursday, do a voucher check later on, and if you took any photographs or measurements of things we can all check up against, we need to get going on that ASAP, too.

So, if you went out exploring yesterday, what'd you find? If you have any evidence, make sure you bring that out, too. Try not to touch anything without gloves if you can. Let's get this shit on lock.

We found some footprints at our scenes, and we've already got measurements for a few, so we'd better get an early start on this. Everyone, let me take a measurement of your feet.

Ere we get too far into the day, allow me to offer an item that may be of some use.

[ Upon the large desk both dorm leaders sit at, Alphinaud places a box. ]

I had been informed beforehand that a fingerprinting kit would be useful to our cause, and, given I had vouchers to spare, agreed to procure one for us. However, only one item may be printed, yet we can get ten fingerprints total from it.

It is still too early to say which of the evidence we should choose first, but when that time comes, we are now more prepared for it.

[Well, he will come back from the body, casually wiping off the blood from his hands, and will just calmly start to describe the situation, a lot of controlled fury in his voice.]

He was decapitated. Seems like a clean cut; not sure what was used for that. Someone cut a hole in the back of his skull and removed the insides of his head. I don't know what the point of that was.

The only other wound on his body was the stab wound. It did look like it was made with his sword, which must have been difficult, because his sword is not sharp. It went through his chest and there was an exit wound on the other side. There was blood on his hand, but not beneath his nails. I couldn't find any other cuts, but the blood on his hand makes me think he did use his power.

Maybe when he was stabbed or had his head cut.

[and once Catra finishes examining Crow's body, she stands up atop a bleacher and says, voice loud but not quite loud enough to be shouting]

Hey. Not to interrupt everyone while they're dealing with Caiman, but I looked at Crow's body.

[her voice is deceptively even, her tone surprisingly. . . calm. the only thing that gives her away is the tight fist holding onto the chained pendant at her side]

First off: his neck is completely broken. There's bruising all over it in a thick, braided shape-- probably some kind of rope? If anything killed him, it was probably-- that.

[. . . an exhale]

There's braided rope-like bruising around his front and back too, like he was bound way too tightly. Hard to tell if it was before or after he was killed. He also has some fresh nicks and cuts over his front and his arms.

And finally-- his legs from the knees to the feet are completely blue-purple. It looks like bruising, but there aren't any gaps, so it doesn't really match the same braided rope-like pattern over the rest of him. Everything else about him seems fine.

. . . I found his phone in his pocket. It's locked with a passcode, so if anyone has any suggestions, now's the time to tell me. He also had his scarf and his ID in his pocket, though there's nothing weird about them that I can see.

[ Hi guys. He's just kind of coming back from the evidence table and if he has thoughts, it's hard to tell. He looks like he could just about fall over any minute now though. ]

It's hard to tell but my own stab might be my own knife.

I don't know. Could be the gold sword but just the tip.

But I... think it's my own knife.

Alright. As I'm sure we're used to by now, time for everyone to undress so we can look over your wounds.

[He counts on his fingers a few things they need to do.]

Please check everyone's hands thoroughly. If people are bandaged with injuries from Thursday, one person who saw the injuries on Thursday ought to look over the injuries beneath the bandages to confirm them. Be on the lookout for evidence of cuts or ice.

There is privacy in the locker room, but everyone is to allow more than one person to look at them closely.

[beau's got some notes that belong to caleb, and some that probably belong to her too, but.]

I wanna double check people's coupons. If you didn't claim one last week, tell me now. If you used it this week, tell me now. If you're vague and unhelpful, I'm not in the fucking mood today, I will punch you.

Probably a good idea to figure out how many vouchers all of us have got, also, considering we caught Rupert with that last time.

[ here's kon with a frankly stupid weapon, the bottom blade wrapped in his warmer top so as not to cut him up on the right side. he'll let viola help alphinaud to sit down as he raises his voice. ]

If someone could check Alph's leg, that'd be great - the catwalk gave up the ghost and hit the stage with him on it. [ that addressed, pretty seriously, moving on. ]

There was a fight on the catwalk. This was up there in the remains of it - we've got pictures as well as a piece of the barrier, but two weapons were used. One matches Crow's double saber here, and another is an unknown weapon at this time. We're going to want to check weapons that we've got against the unknown marks.

The ropes up with the catwalk were cut at some point, though. It could've... it could've been Crow trying to get himself free, or before he was - [ mm, no, not thinking about his dormmate being hanged like that? ] - it could've been during the fight.

That's all, though.

Everyone, please account for your purchases on Thursday. The three voucher from Luke is mine.

[The tree children are back! Mabel probably looking fairly dispassionate, Tsuyukusa not much better but. A little. Also his hands are covered in blood and dirt. He's also holding a small folded paper package.]

So me and Mabel went to check out the Orchard and Stables again. Like we already knew, there were footprints leading into the Orchard from the Garden that we think are Mollymauk's. Where his body was, it seems like there could have been some sort of altercation? It's hard to tell since the body was lying there. But we followed the blood trail to the stable, and I took a closer look at where the head was, and I found some brain matter. I don't know if looking at it will help but I brought some.
[He's... apparently got some in his little paper thing???]

So I think we can say for sure Molly was killed and beheaded in the Orchard, and the brain was removed in the Stable. I don't think it was removed in one piece, based on the leftover bits. And as for where it went... I don't have any idea. I don't know if any of this is useful, but.

kon is so tired and staring off into the void still, but it's obvious he's spending the entire time thinking. ]

When doing the exchange, Viola stated that the power would work once a week, and allow me to "see up to a minute of someone's memories." I've pulled weeks before coming to Wiwaldi, and so the memory length limit isn't shocking - but there's no fine print, no limitation, in place that would result in me getting nothing. I literally didn't pull or see anything with Caiman, it was only an impression, and I aimed for the broad range of midnight to morning for anything that I could pull.

Like a scanner, if there was something to pick up, I would think it would pick up. This place isn't that cruel.

[ i'm also spiritually tired and these terms were negotiated monday of w2 but the power was received OOCly thursday w3 and never used before so i'm going to lay down on the floor now ]

[ heads over to the front of the gym looking absolutely distraught, then taking a deep breath and yelling: ]

I know who killed Molly! And I mean really killed Molly, not whatever happened with Caiman!

[ she looks over everyone in the room for a moment, eyes searching, and then points a finger: ]

It was C-Claude!

—Ahem. If you will all pardon me for just this moment.

[ From where he's sitting, most likely, don't make him stand on his foot please. ]

As you may already be aware, Kon and I returned with a piece of the contraption where Crow had his struggle. On it are not only marks from his weapon, but from another. There are many among us who are also in possession of such items, and so I ask—in hopes of narrowing down our list of culprits, pray lend over any weapons you have so that we can make a comparison against the unknown marks.

... And I implore you to cooperate.

If anyone noticed something off while checking each other, then we should be discussing that while we still have the time, too.

Out of the people I checked personally-- Beau's injuries were confirmed by Ichiro, with one from a fight with Tsuyukusa. Manwol's foot injury was backed up by Rita, claiming it was a bowling ball. Lux has burns, bruising, and cuts she says can't be confirmed by most people, but that Ichinose or someone else from her group might be able to do so. Rita has bruising she says is from an incident with Alphinaud this week, but he has none. Kaine's injuries were also backed up by Ichiro, and Ichinose's were by Yamato.

If anyone has anything else to account for with any of them, please say so, and speak up if there's anything else unaccounted for that you're aware of.

[ with his phone in his good hand as he leans on his crutch wth the other, hope addresses the group at large with! new info! ]

Ichiro and Leo just found three new sets of prints outside the SUB. To set them apart from the ones we went over earlier, let's call these ones Sets 1, 2, and 3.

Set 2 - Manwol, Catra, Tsuyukusa, Byleth, Ichinose
Set 3 - Kon, Malik, Nier, Wang Lu, Ichiro, Crow ]

... Based on the location, we can probably safely assume that Set 3 is Crow, so that just leaves the other two to figure out.

The most relevant and important piece of evidence to solving Molly's murder is the Set A footprints, in the garden.
