On Friday morning at 7AM, everyone will find that they're now able to leave their suites and dormitories. How will they know the time they can leave? Well, it's because it's hard to ignore the fire alarm that's blaring in every building of the campus, and also the fact that all of the banners and materials with the school crest seems to have changed into something different? Hm.

Is this a practice drill? Did someone pull the alarm? Perhaps there's an actual fire somewhere. There's only one way to find out.

Maybe you should look around.

Welcome Students, to the third investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6PM EST and another set at 7PM EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8PM and 9PM EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9PM EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

[Manwol just taking a picture of the fcking window while a body is like twenty feet away? possible.

also yeah which classroom building is this mods... rita and crow and manwol are probably all good students that go to class so they would know which one this is, right... maybe....

She'll look closer at the nicks. are they all on the floor?? are there a lot of them? shallow or deep? Manwol's mostly familiar with marks from blades/sharp objects, so she'll use that as a comparison. she'll put her hand out to see how big or small they are too]

[a singed area, though! neat. rita will take a closer look. how big of an area is singed? any shape to it?

also, is it on the floor, or the walls? any furniture caught in it?

also, while we're in this classroom, let's look at the ceiling. just to be sure.]

[ calling back, as he heads for the roof: ] We're all still mad about Cats class.

[ anyway! up to the roof he goes. what's he going to find up here, is it a body? ]

[The nicks are not all on the floor! They're more, like. On the wall and on the surface of nearby furniture. There's an Amount of them that I suppose is neither few nor excessive, and their depths vary. They're of [mumbles] some size. Average????

The singed area is kind of circular, and also of... some probably maybe average size?

The ceiling is fine.

Up on the rooftop, the first thing Crow will spot is a large blade that seems to be sticking out of something lying on the ground.]

[Manwol will take pictures of all of this, thank you mods. that and also the burned area that Rita is looking at, just in case.

are there any blood spots near the nicked areas?? or is that all just a trail on the floor]

[looks like an average-sized crime scene.

but all right, bless manwol and her photography, rita's going to follow the blood trail and join crow on the roof.]

Found a singed spot back in the classroom. Anything up here?

[ wow let's look at that large blade what's that looking like? significant? important? anything else obvious around the area at all?








also, y'know. what's the blade stuck in. who's it stuck in? ]

[The blood is basically just a trail on the floor.

Crow and Rita might want to watch their step if they're approaching the sword, though! Since as they come near, there's a pool of blood.

Because yeah, the blade sure is sticking out of a body amidst the blood. As for who it is, I'll give Manwol the chance to come up here first if she wants.]

[WHY DOES MANWOL HAVE TO COME UP HERE FIRST?????? WHY?????

[okay she's up here, she sees the blade and she's gonna look at this body with Crow and Rita]

[It's... wait, who is this guy? Whoever it is, the sight of him fills you with rage, for some reason.








No, it's someone else. Ercnard Sieghart is dead.]

[Manwol remains silent as her face tightens.

...She can't say anything that Rita doesn't already know herself honestly, and while she's absolutely starting to feel some rage,

she looks down at the body instead. are there any other wounds on him besides the sword]

[If there are any other wounds, you don't get to know until trial. :pensive:

But the sword exists as Crow stares at it.]

[she kicks the corpse, i'm sorry]

[ yes please describe the blade it is being PERCEIVED is it recognisable? ]

[rita's valid, honestly. Manwol kind of feels like punching Sieghart too, for some reason? (it's because she has feelings she refuses to perceive)]

[manwol does not look at the sword because she probably won't recognize it. she's just going to look around the rooftop just in case there are NICKS and BURNS out here too]

[Rita will recognize the sword as Sieghart's very own.

And then she kicks the corpse, I guess.

There are no nicks and burns up here.]

[she'll leave it at one kick, and turn away so she's not facing any of them.]

... That's his sword. I'd recognize that stupid thing anywhere.
