On Friday morning at 7AM, everyone will find that they're now able to leave their suites and dormitories. How will they know the time they can leave? Well, it's because it's hard to ignore the fire alarm that's blaring in every building of the campus, and also the fact that all of the banners and materials with the school crest seems to have changed into something different? Hm.

Is this a practice drill? Did someone pull the alarm? Perhaps there's an actual fire somewhere. There's only one way to find out.

Maybe you should look around.

Welcome Students, to the third investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6PM EST and another set at 7PM EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8PM and 9PM EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9PM EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

[YOU KNOW WHAT'S ANNOYING? THAT FIRE ALARM. Catra hisses as she grabs one of her ears with her uninjured hand and pulls it down, as though doing so will shut off the noise]

Why does that stupid alarm have to go off every time?

[she's standing right outside the health office b/c i flipped a coin for which one we'd do first and here we are]

[how did he end up here? it's fine, he's probably checking places people hit last week and so he hears catra yelling as he enters the health office and does an immediate sweep of the room. are the cabinets open at all? more bandages on the floor? how are we looking?]

The same reason anything happens in this dumb school. Probably just to piss us off.

[at this point Manwol's gotten used to this deranged fire alarm by now!!! anyway she'll head on over to the classroom building, but before going in she's going to just take a look around outside... she grimaces,]

[ In an attempt to escape the fire alarm, Claude is wandering over to the farm. He knows that Friday mornings are bad business, so he's going to be picking his way across the fields.

Are any of the scarecrows actually a rotting corpse? Any suspicious gatherings of flies? ]

[ Mabel makes a beeline for the farm animals!!! Because she's momentarily forgotten why we're here. She coos over them for a minute, and then remembers to get down to business, checking the ground of the...stable? are they all kept in the stable together? Anyway she's checking underfoot of the precious farm animals ]

ATHLETICS FIELD

[Somehow missing that his own dorm had a horrific pillow heist, Caleb is out here, bundled up in a uniform coat that seems to suit him a lot less than his normal warm winter coat and a big fuzzy scarf. Frumpkin is, too. He's still moving kind of stiffly, but he's at least in much better shape that yesterday.

[ here's ichiro also, with all of the zippers on his hoodie zipped up for once and his hood pulled over his head because it is cold outside! he's out here to investigate this goddamn field once again, hands jammed into his pockets and glancing over at caleb to make sure he's ok before getting going.

what sport field is it. he's just gonna head for the bleachers because there has been a piece of evidence there literally every week so far ]

Oh! Well, that sucks. Maybe should've studied harder.

Shortly after, all phones will receive a notification stating that all Dorm Heads currently attending mandatory meeting following emergency. Emails and messages will go through, but they will not be able to respond. (Please don't send Audience Requests but you can OOCly let us know if your character tries to contact them.)

Any further investigation will not manifest in any more clues. You'll simply have to hold onto the pieces that you have until tomorrow.
