Good thing yesterday was just a dream, huh?

Just kidding. Everyone will wake up to a text on their phone that has only a simple message:

Go to the gymnasium at 12 PM. Attendance is mandatory.

Everyone is free to go to the designated spot on their own, but once it hits 11:55, any stragglers will feel compelled to go and will join the others at the gym. As soon as every student is inside, the doors will lock behind them.

All of the bleachers are out, so students are free to sit wherever they like. At the very front of the gym is a gathering of a few items, one being a large desk where two of the Dorm Heads are present. When the clock hits noon, the scoreboard turns on, starting a countdown of nine hours.

From where she's seated, Sally speaks.

"You have nine hours again. It's... you'll be able to do it. Work hard."

Better get to it. That scoreboard is ticking.

Hello everyone and welcome to our fourth trial! the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6 PM EST, where no mod tags will occur.

Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9 PM EST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

What if he was sleeping? What if he was one of the sleepers outdoors, but his body was used?

That - seems right, because we didn't find any other sleepers, right? There are usually two. It was Malik and Caiman.

So... so maybe it was sleeping, because he can't remember because he was asleep.

[Hunching his shoulders, crossing his arms around himself.]

Yeah - yeah. It's - we will. [she turns to him and just - well, look, she's gonna pull a caleb and press her forehead to his, hands gently on his arms. just briefly.]

[Just pressing his forehead back against hers, stiff and still.]

[ He's seconding Beau with this one. He gets up and just looks like -- idk, what his icon looks like I guess. ]

Wh -- what do you mean there's nothing...!

[ he's obviously frustrated but it's not at anyone, and he draws it back in. ]

It could be a few different things. Could be like our hint, in that it's better timed in the later half.

Could be that he was, genuinely, a sleeper in the time period I aimed for.

Could be that he was overwritten.

[this is a break tag so it means nothing other than character development but

beau just leans real heavily against him at some point. she's flagging a bit after shaking people down for vouchers.]

D'you have painkillers on you?

[ he zones back in from where he's been staring into the void of the gym during all of these conversations, body immediately stabilizing to support her weight, as he reaches into a pocket to pull out the bottle. ]

How many you want?

As many as you can give me without killing me. [she says dryly.]

Probably, like, eight. Don't drink any booze for a while.

[ ( charlie brown adults talking noise ) as he presses the top against his chest and turns the bottle to open it, fuck u childproof lock. ]
