Good thing yesterday was just a dream, huh?

Just kidding. Everyone will wake up to a text on their phone that has only a simple message:

Go to the gymnasium at 12 PM. Attendance is mandatory.

Everyone is free to go to the designated spot on their own, but once it hits 11:55, any stragglers will feel compelled to go and will join the others at the gym. As soon as every student is inside, the doors will lock behind them.

All of the bleachers are out, so students are free to sit wherever they like. At the very front of the gym is a gathering of a few items, one being a large desk where two of the Dorm Heads are present. When the clock hits noon, the scoreboard turns on, starting a countdown of nine hours.

From where she's seated, Sally speaks.

"You have nine hours again. It's... you'll be able to do it. Work hard."

Better get to it. That scoreboard is ticking.

Hello everyone and welcome to our fourth trial! the next nine hours, the characters are expected to discuss among themselves, ask questions, examine the bodies of the victims, look over the evidence found yesterday, and revisit locations as needed in order to find the culprit(s). There'll be a one hour break from 5-6 PM EST, where no mod tags will occur.

Before the trial is over, please remember to place your character's vote over on the voting page. Voting will close at 9 PM EST, and will serve as our activity check for the week, so please be sure you get your vote in before it ends unless you have contacted us previously.

[ ...If he was going to say anything else, he doesn't. She won't want to hear it, probably. The cards are stacked against him and there's nothing he can do to disprove a mindjack theory. ]

[ That's the best he can offer. ]

[ now that he's gotten things taken care of on one thing, kon'll come over. ]

Hey, big guy. [ no hostilities, here, but he is serious. ] I know you've got some memory problems, but would you be okay with me trying to take a look at them? See if we can't pull something out about what happened after lockdown.

[headsplitter]

Uh...

[ He looks over at Kon slowly, clearly hesitant. More in the sense of being, almost a little afraid. But... ]

I -- uh. Yeah, I mean, you gotta do it, right? But --

[ He's distinctly afraid of what if he did kill Molly? ]

[...Manwol's stepping close to him, putting a hand on his elbow if he lets her.]

[ She can take his elbow, yeah. He glances down at her, frowning. ]

[lifeless]

[his half-drunk cup of cocoa...]

[ Ignorance is bliss in this situation, no? But everyone else... ]

It is. Everyone involved matters. ...Especially when there's someone else manipulating us all.

...Yeah. But that's gonna be a hell of a lot harder to figure out, isn't it...?

[He gives him another sympathetic look.]

I... I understand.

[ He likes Caleb and Beau, they deserve to know, right? But... fuck. ]

[He's frowning at him.]

It's an ugly thing, but. . . if someone put something in your head. . . we need to find a person who will do that, don't we?

...Yeah. [ Caleb's right. ] Let Kon do his, whatever it is.

[ mmm, kon has - he hasn't been mad at the killers, not since he started theorizing. he knows this is deeply personal to beau and caleb. ]

... yeah, we gotta know. [ he reaches up and claps him on the arm opposite his stabbies. ] It's not okay - this place is fucked up. But it's okay for you to not be ready yet. You can take a couple minutes.

[headsplitter]

Y... yeah, I get it. Um.

[ God, what does he do? ]

It really looks like... uh, shit's not looking real hot for me either way, huh? Uh...

Yeah, fuck it. Okay...

[refate]

It's... not great. But if you're in the clear, then trying this will help. Sometimes, people can't remember things - but that doesn't mean the memory's always gone.

[ neuroscience... he sighs, and holds his hand up. ]

Alright. Lower your head.

[headsplitter]

Yeah.

...I kept sharing weird memories with everyone this week. Stuff I didn't remember, so...

[ Kon sounds about right on this part. Caiman will sit down, then, because......... man huge. Here, have his spiky lil head. ]

[refate]

So we'll give it a try. Thanks, big guy.

[ his hand moves forward, to hover on caiman's lizardy forehead between his eyes. ]

I promise it won't hurt. [ and he touches his palm down. ]

[headsplitter]

[ He'll sit there still and wait. Behaving... ]

and the results are in...

[refate]

[ ... his hand stays there, for a minute. but there's nothing that comes with it like he'd expect, when he pulls away. quiet, for a beat, brow furrowing.

he pats caiman, in the same spot. ] Thanks. Head up, man.

[ his voice raises as he turns to address everybody: ] Nada.

He was moving, but there's not actually a memory - there's an absence of it. I couldn't actually pull anything to look at, so it was a sensation of movement, and lasted for only probably a minute.
